Tottenham’s marquee signing of the summer transfer window, James Maddison, didn’t take long to get comfortable on his new team. One goal and two assists earned the English midfielder Premier League Player of the Month honors in August, and the Spurs showed no signs of slowing down in September.

Son scored six goals, and Tottenham went undefeated in September, picking up a huge win over Liverpool and a thrilling 2-2 tie with Arsenal. Fans have pegged Son as a favorite to win the POTM award for his efforts, but there were plenty of other standout performers this past month as well.

Other notable nominees include Kieran Trippier, who registered four assists and two clean sheets as Newcastle continued its torrent start to the season, and Ollie Watkins racked up four goals and one assist for red-hot Aston Villa.
